California Broker Patrick Roraff Barred for Failure to Provide Information to FINRA

barred

According to FINRA, Patrick Michael Roraff was barred from association with any FINRA member effective April 6, 2026, pursuant to FINRA Rule 9552(h), for failure to provide information or keep information current with FINRA.

FINRA Rule 9552(h) provides FINRA with authority to bar registered persons who fail to meet their basic obligations to provide required information or keep registration disclosures current. This tool is essential to the integrity of FINRA's registration system, which depends on accurate and timely information from the individuals it registers and regulates.

Registered persons are required to update their registration information when significant events occur—such as terminations, customer complaints, regulatory investigations, criminal proceedings, or financial events. These disclosures are not optional; they are a condition of registration and are directly tied to the regulator's ability to assess fitness to work in the industry.

The bar imposed under Rule 9552(h) protects investors by removing from active industry participation individuals who have demonstrated unwillingness or inability to meet even the most fundamental regulatory requirements. It signals that the individual has failed to cooperate with the basic informational framework that governs registration in the securities industry.

Investors in California and elsewhere who may have worked with Roraff should check FINRA BrokerCheck for his complete regulatory history and verify that their accounts are currently managed by a properly registered and compliant representative. BrokerCheck is available at no cost to all investors and provides detailed records for all current and former FINRA-registered persons.
