Christian Yavier Gomez Suspended for Failure to Provide Information
According to FINRA, Christian Yavier Gomez was suspended from association with any FINRA member pursuant to FINRA Rule 9552(d) for failing to provide information or keep information current as required.
Gomez's suspension began on October 6, 2025.
Unlike a bar, which is permanent, a suspension can potentially be lifted if the individual comes into compliance with FINRA's requests. However, for as long as the suspension remains in effect, Gomez cannot associate with any FINRA member firm in any capacity.
The requirement to provide information to FINRA is a fundamental obligation of registration. This obligation ensures that FINRA can conduct investigations, monitor compliance, and protect investors. When individuals fail to meet this obligation, suspension from the industry is an appropriate response.
For investors who worked with Gomez, this suspension should prompt a review of your accounts. Check your statements for any unauthorized transactions or unusual activity. If you have concerns about how your account was handled, consider consulting with a securities attorney or filing a complaint with FINRA.
Suspension for failure to provide information does not itself indicate that misconduct occurred. However, investors should be aware of the action and verify that their accounts are in order.
