Texas Broker Francisco Gomez Suspended for Failure to Provide Information to FINRA

suspended

According to FINRA, Francisco M. Gomez was suspended from association with any FINRA member effective April 6, 2026, pursuant to FINRA Rule 9552(d), for failure to provide information or keep information current with FINRA.

FINRA's disclosure system requires registered persons to maintain current and accurate registration information and to respond to regulatory requests for information in a timely manner. When individuals fail to meet these obligations, FINRA may suspend their registration under Rule 9552(d) until the compliance deficiency is cured. The suspension prevents the individual from associating with any FINRA member firm during the period it is in effect.

The obligation to maintain current disclosures is not a bureaucratic formality—it is a substantive regulatory requirement that enables FINRA and investors to accurately assess the background and fitness of the professionals they work with. Changes in employment, customer complaints, legal proceedings, and financial events all affect the profile of a registered person and must be disclosed promptly.

Investors who have worked with Gomez should verify the current status of his registration through FINRA BrokerCheck and ensure that their accounts are being managed by a properly registered representative. If a suspension has been lifted, BrokerCheck will reflect the updated status. If it remains in effect, investors should confirm that their assets are properly protected.

Regulatory suspensions can disrupt the continuity of investor-broker relationships and may leave investors uncertain about the status of their accounts. Investors are encouraged to proactively verify their broker's registration status periodically through FINRA BrokerCheck, particularly when they become aware of any regulatory action affecting their broker.
